 School Show
The school show is the Musical Dazzle, from January to March we will be working towards the final performances. The performances will be held at Roedean School.

There will be two casts, each cast will be doing different show dates and rehearsals so make sure you make a note of what cast your son or daughter is in, so you get the correct information.

• Dazzle Cast 1 will consist of the juniors and intermediate students.
• Dazzle Cast 1’s dress rehearsal will be on Tuesday 30th  March, 4.30pm-9.00pm at Roedean school.
• Dazzle Cast 1’s show date is Thursday the 1st of April, there are two shows on this day, one at 3pm and the other at 7pm.

• Dazzle Cast 2 will consist of the senior students.
• Dazzle Cast 2’s dress rehearsal will be on Wednesday 31st of March 4.30pm-9.00pm at Roedean School.
• Dazzle Cast 2’s show date is Friday the 2nd of April, (which is Good Friday) there are two shows on this day, one at 3pm and the other at 7pm.

Any Pupils that cannot make the shows or dress rehearsals unfortunately will not be able to be in the show. If your child can’t do the show or doesn’t want to be involved there will be a set of each age group classes running on a Saturday. The tots classes, the ballet classes and the tap classes will be running as normal .

Fees for the show are £70.00 per half term for junior students (2 hr reh a week), £90.00 per half term for inter students (3 hr reh per week) and £110.00 (4hr reh per week) per half term for senior students, these fees are instead of you normal class fees, for dance, drama & singing. Please let us know as soon as possible if you do not want to be in the show as we need to plan schedules for next term. Regular attendance is vitally important next term, it is very difficult to rehearse a show with people missing.

To audition for a principal role you must be over 9 years of age. All the principal cast once decided by audition will be required to be available all day every Saturday and some Wednesday evenings between 5pm and 9pm.
Principal auditions are on Saturday 28th November at 5.30pm – 7.30pm at St Mary Magdalens.
There is no need to prepare anything as we will be workshopping to cast the parts, be ready to sing dance and act.
Please remember we have a lot of very talented pupils and not everyone will get a lead role, the casting will be purely on what we get at the audition, there will be independent casting people who don’t know the pupils, helping on the audition day. Casting decisions are final and will not be discussed on an individual basis

Tickets for the school show will be on sale from January 2010, ticket prices will be confirmed once we have finalised our budgets.

Any parents wishing to offer assistance whether as a chaperone, costumes, set design, front of house or on technical production please get in touch. Parents will not be allowed to chaperone the cast of their own child.
